- A – 4 pieces of 1×12 lumber – 33 1/2″ long, 2 pieces – 38″ long, 6 pieces – 36 1/2″ long FRAMES
- B – 4 pieces of 1×2 lumber – 33 1/2″ long, 2 pieces – 38″ long, 6 pieces – 36 1/2″ long TRIMS
- C – 2 pieces of 1×12 – 36 1/2″ long SUPPORTS
- D – 1 piece of 3/4″ plywood – 38″x60″ long TABLETOP
- 5 pieces of 1×12 lumber – 10 ft

Building a craft table
Building the shelf units
The first step of the woodworking project is about how to build a craft table. As you can easily notice in the diagram, we recommend you to build the shelf units. Cut the 1×12 components at the right size and assemble them together. Drill pocket holes at both ends of the shelves (yellow components) and insert 1 1/4″ screws into the side components. Drill pocket holes at the top of the side components and insert 1 1/4″ screws into the top. Make sure the corners are right-angled before fitting the screws into place.
Attaching the trims
Continue the project by attaching the 1×2 trims to the faces of the shelves. Drill pocket holes at both ends of the horizontal trims (brown components) and secure them to the side components with 1 1/4″ screws. Drill pilot holes through the top of the side components and insert screws into the top trim. Make sure the corners are right-angled and center the trims to the shelves in a professional manner. Secure the trims to the shelf unit. on both sides, by using finishing nails and waterproof glue.
Building the top frame
Building the frame of the tabletop is a straight-forward process, but you need to pay attention to the instructions described in the diagram. Drill pocket holes at both ends of the supports and secure them to the 1×12 slats. Drill pilot holes through the slats and secure them to the shelf units with glue and 1 1/4″ screws.
Fitting the countertop
Center the frame of the craft table to the tabletop and secure into place tightly. Drill pilot holes through the supports and insert 1 1/4″ screws into the tabletop.
How to build a craft table
Last but not least, we recommend you to take care of the finishing touches. Fill the holes with wood filler and let it to dry out for several hours. Afterwards, smooth the wooden surface with fine-grit sandpaper and vacuum the residues.
